Our Philosophy

Preserving your natural enamel

We aim to preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible. Modern digital smile design lets us plan ultra-thin porcelain veneers — often as thin as 0.3mm to 0.5mm — which reduces or eliminates the need for aggressive enamel removal.

Planning the veneer digitally before any preparation begins is what makes that possible: the thickness is designed around your existing tooth position rather than the tooth being reduced to suit a standard thickness.

Care Notice

Porcelain veneers involve subtle, irreversible removal of a microscopic outer layer of enamel to ensure a flush, natural fit. Enamel does not grow back, and a prepared tooth will require a veneer or similar restoration from that point onward. At your consultation we assess your tooth position and enamel thickness to find the most conservative path — including whether composite, which usually needs little or no preparation, suits you better.

Veneer FAQs

Veneer costs vary based on the material selected, the complexity of shade matching, and the number of teeth involved. Composite veneers generally sit lower in upfront cost, while custom porcelain reflects a higher investment due to the ceramic material and in-house laboratory work. You'll receive a detailed, itemised treatment plan after your 3D digital assessment — before any treatment begins.

No dental restoration is considered permanent. Porcelain veneers typically serve 10–15 years or longer with disciplined oral hygiene and a protective night guard. Composite veneers generally last 5–7 years and may need periodic re-polishing or touch-ups. Individual results vary.

Comfort is carefully managed. Local anaesthesia is used during preparation and bonding, so the procedure itself is comfortable. Some sensitivity to hot or cold for a few days after enamel preparation is common and usually settles naturally.

Porcelain veneers require the irreversible removal of a microscopic outer layer of enamel so the veneer sits flush at the gum line. Important information about risks

Preparing a tooth for a veneer usually involves the irreversible removal of enamel. Enamel does not grow back, and a prepared tooth will require a veneer or similar restoration for the remainder of its life. Possible complications include temporary or persistent sensitivity, gum irritation, debonding, chipping or fracture of the veneer, and irritation of the dental pulp which may later require root canal treatment.

Veneers do not change colour in response to whitening, and adjacent natural teeth may discolour over time so that shades no longer match. Individual results vary according to your existing tooth position, bite, gum health and habits such as grinding.

Your dentist will discuss the risks, benefits and alternatives — including more conservative options such as whitening, bonding or orthodontics — before you consent to treatment. You are encouraged to seek a second opinion from another appropriately qualified health practitioner.
